I'm working on a Graphic Design major at the moment, although my biggest dreams lie in animating for disney or cartoon network. This page doesn't update too terribly often, but i'll probably be here forever if you want a buddy.

Okay maybe i have even just ONE xenosaga fan follower, or perhaps you just like music origins. SOmething that's bothered me for a REALLY LONG TIME is that the  Song of Nephilim from Xenosaga has a very recognizable four-note sequence starting about :08. Now teen titans go is not something i watch really, but thanks to youtube surfing i happened to stumble upon the exact. Same. Four Notes used at the very start of this clip.
This is not the first time this has happened. From resident evil to the da vinci code, apparantly this four-note sequence is a "scary sound" effect on some music composition program that the creators of xenosaga decided to build upon to make a longer, fucking creepier, song. The song's used in all three xenosaga games and is basically the song of madness that caused wwIII, so i'm glad i now know WHY it's played in stuff that has zilch to do with the "original" song
This has been an informative journal.
  • Listening to: Muse
  • Reading: Catching Fire (again)
  • Watching: the last samurai! (its a great movie)
  • Playing: my conscience
  • Eating: sunflower seeds
  • Drinking: water

aaahhhhhhhh
 7/10
The simplistic use of white pink and red contrast starkly, leaving the viewer to ponder the symbolism of the colors. Pinks are often a symbol of innocence, and faith, so perhaps we are supposed to see a contrast of childhood ideals versus the modern push towards open sexuality?
The woman in this piece is crudely drawn, she is an affter thought. The title "Black Boobies" echoes the sentimentality of women being oversexualized, but at the same time denied the opportunity to be nude without criticism. This black girls' boobies are certainly large, but they are also transparant, to the white background. This white black girl says many things to the viewer, and this loss of race, this denial of culture hits a crucial point about racism, and the strive for a more "white" society. Perhaps the red in the piece, used only in the stars, could be the dreams and thoughts she dares not reach out to.

Oversized nipples, and clownish pink pink pink make-up and stars in this child-like composition lend her the look of a child playing an adult, one who has physically met the demands of society, and yet deep in her heart holds onto simpler desires. Truly astonishing, that three colors can say so much about a person, and such heart can be strewn into a piece so deceptively haphazard.
 Bravah.
